“Expected to try” – Leeds United will make an urgent transfer approach for 26-year-old if promoted on Sunday

If Leeds United are promoted on Sunday at Wembley, they will almost certainly make a permanent bid to capture Joe Rodon from Tottenham.

Leeds are getting closer to the playoff final, with a big test against Southampton on Sunday afternoon.

Pressure is on both sides heading into the weekend, knowing that both are hungry to return to the top flight at the first opportunity.

Leeds “expected to try” to sign Joe Rodon if promoted.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, if Leeds are promoted on Sunday at Wembley, they will try to sign Joe Rodon on a permanent basis.

Joe Rodon asks for price insight as Leeds look for a permanent contract.

This comes as TEAMtalk revealed that a £12 million deal might be possible for Leeds if they win at Wembley.

Such an arrangement would most certainly entail £3 million in add-ons for Leeds, but they are aware that Rodon would be eager to maintain his form at Elland Road in the long run.

Rodon is a must-have acquisition for Leeds if they are promoted on Sunday.

It’s reasonable to say that if Leeds win at Wembley, Rodon will be our permanent signing.

However, we should not be overconfident with him as our primary starting centre-back in the Premier League, as the standard has risen dramatically.

The 49ers will need to add depth to their struggle to stay in the league if they do advance, and they will also need to provide competition for Rodon.
