Exit news: Leeds to accept offer for “impressive” versatile £50,000-a-week player if they go up.

It could be another hectic summer in Yorkshire.

Leeds United intend to accept a permanent offer for a versatile midfielder this summer, according to a fresh update.

    Leeds’ summer makeover

The Whites are currently reaping the benefits of a busy off-field era that saw 49ers Enterprises gain control of Yorkshire and Daniel Farke take over as manager.

The German now has Leeds in the top two in the Championship as they seek a fast return to the Premier League, and one market they have effectively leveraged is loans. Several players used relegation release clauses in their contracts to leave on a temporary basis as part of a huge revamp last summer.

Meanwhile, Leeds signed centre-back Joe Rodon on a season-long loan, with the Welsh international playing a key part. Connor Roberts joined on loan from Burnley in January, and the right-back has already scored twice.

However, with the summer transfer market approaching, Leeds may need to make judgments on some of their players who could return. The club is accepting bids for Ramus Kristensen, and another update has emerged in recent days.

Leeds plans to accept Marc Roca’s offer.

Football Insider reporter Pete O’Rourke has provided an update on Roca’s future in the last 48 hours, indicating that the Whites want to accept a bid for the Spaniard this summer.

Leeds ‘would consider proposals for the 27-year-old regardless of whether they are promoted back to the Premier League in the coming weeks’.

Roca’s Elland Road contract ‘allows him to leave the club on loan once again next term if the club are not promoted’, but even if Farke’s side gets promoted, he is certain to go.

The midfielder is presently on loan at Real Betis and appears to have enjoyed his time back in his home country, demonstrating his versatility by playing as both a holding midfielder and a centre back.

    Goals 4
    Assists 3
    Yellow cards 7

Roca is under contract with Leeds until 2026 and earns £50,000 per week, so the Whites might recuperate a large portion of the £10 million they paid for him in 2022. Throughout his career, he has received a lot of accolades, including from former Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann.

“He can make up for his flaws by superb positional play. He is extremely industrious and always willing to listen.

“I don’t typically laud individual players in front of their teammates, but he earned it. The way he fought and gave his all was astounding. I admire players who prove their coach wrong and demonstrate that it was a mistake not to play them more frequently.”
