According to Football Insider sources, Leeds United’s first proposal for Jonathan Rowe is “nowhere near” Norwich City’s valuation.
It is thought that the Whites have made a verbal bid of £7 million for the 21-year-old, which has yet to be formalized.
In any case, Norwich has turned down that offer, which does not come close to the Canaries’ appraisal of Rowe.
Leeds are looking for a new winger after losing Crysencio Summerville to West Ham over the weekend.
Daniel Farke’s team now lacks a natural left-sided winger on the roster at Elland Road.
Rowe fits the criteria for the Yorkshire giants following his magnificent breakthrough season in 2023-24.
He scored 13 goals and four assists in 38 games across all competitions last season, helping Norwich finish sixth in the Championship.

The winger’s contract at Carrow Road will expire in June 2025, with the club having the option to extend it for another year.
Rowe missed a significant chunk of the second half of the season due to a hamstring injury before returning to the Norwich starting lineup as Leeds defeated them 4-0 on aggregate in the play-off semi-final.
However, Farke’s side were unable to defeat Southampton at Wembley Stadium and will remain in the second division for another season.
Leeds have already signed Joe Rodon, Jayden Bogle, Alex Cairns, and Joe Rothwell this summer.
