Liverpool have informed Ben Doak that he is not in their long-term plans as transfer interest in the teenager gathers momentum.

The Reds have turned down two proposals for Doak, as both Crystal Palace and Ipswich Town firmed up interest in the 19-year-old.

Despite Liverpool rejecting bids worth £15 million and £16 million, Rousing According to the Kop, the Reds are open to a January sale.

RTK has been informed that Arne Slot does not see Doak as a long-term Liverpool team member, which he has transmitted to the Scottish international.

As a result, Doak is reportedly considering his options for a mid-season departure.

Liverpool open to Ben Doak’s departure.

Doak has had a fantastic season on loan in the Championship with Middlesbrough, scoring two goals and providing five assists in 20 appearances.

And RTK understands that while Boro are anxious to maintain hold of Doak in whatever way they can, they are not currently in the running for a permanent transfer.

It is believed that Boro could be a more realistic possibility for Doak if they are promoted to the Premier League this season.

Meanwhile, RTK has been informed that Crystal Palace is the most serious contender at this stage, having made an initial bid of £15 million.

And although that price fell short of Liverpool’s value, it is anticipated that a second offer of £25m is likely to be enough to convince the Reds.

RTK understands that Palace are not the only club interested in Doak, with Ipswich and a few other top-flight clubs keeping an eye on the issue.

It is known that Doak’s future at Boro has not been ruled out, though a permanent sale appears to be the most likely eventuality at the moment.

Doak wins Player of the Month honor.

Doak has undoubtedly been one of the most captivating performers in the Championship this season.

Following his strong run for Boro, the teenager won the division’s Young Player of the Month title for December.

The former Celtic prospect is still some way off the top of the Championship’s assisting rankings, with West Brom’s Tom Fellows far ahead with 10.

However, given Doak’s recent electrifying performances, there is a good probability he will continue to climb those ranks.

He may have to act soon, however, as Premier League interest increases significantly.
