Leeds United are already plotting their Championship promotion campaign for next season, and one of their top transfer targets has emerged, according to Daniel Jebbison of HITC.
The Sheffield United forward is out of contract at Bramall Lane, and despite their best efforts, the Blades have been unable to arrange new terms with the Canadian-born England junior international.
The 20-year-old missed the most of the season due to a blood clot, but his long-term fitness was never called into question, and he returned to action near the end of the season.
Leeds want to sign Daniel Jebbison from Sheffield United.
HITC understands that Jebbison has received offers from around England and Europe, but Leeds are hoping to sign him after identifying him as a priority summer target.
Leeds’ technical director Gretar Steinsson, who previously saw Jebbison at Everton, is hoping to bring him in because the club wants to add more physicality and youth to its team, particularly in the attacking department.
We understand Everton, Brighton, recently promoted Ipswich, and Leicester have made bids to sign him, while Juventus, Borussia Dortmund, Valencia, and Monaco have also showed interest.
If Jebbison leaves Bramall Lane, it will be a significant loss for manager Chris Wilder, who had hoped he would stay.
The club’s CEO, Stephen Bettis, recently claimed that they were hopeful of a deal.
“We as a club, he is someone we would love to get him nailed down to a longer term contract and as I say we are having positive discussions with him now,” he stated to the Sheffield Star.
