Daniel Farke’s employment at Leeds United is secure for the time being, with club officials unwilling to end his tenure, according to Football Insider.
Football Insider reported on Monday (16 September) that Farke is “under pressure” at Elland Road following the Whites’ disappointing start to the season.
While the German’s long-term future remains uncertain, top-level club executives are not expected to panic just yet.
The former Norwich City manager will remain in charge of the Yorkshire giants and will be given the opportunity to inspire a turnaround in the coming weeks.
Fans believe West Brom’s Carlos Corberan will take over at Elland Road if Farke is fired on September 16.
Leeds have eight points from their first five Championship games after losing 1-0 at home to promotion rivals Burnley on Saturday (September 14).
Farke is under pressure to deliver promotion this season following his setback to Southampton in the playoff final in May.
Leeds chiefs are not yet ‘panicking’ about Farke.
According to insiders, club officials know Farke is capable of leading his team to a winning streak and catapulting them back into pole position for promotion.
Leeds had a difficult start last season, but rallied to put themselves in contention for automatic promotion before sliding to a playoff spot.
Farke’s side was destroyed in the summer transfer window, with important players such as Crysencio Summerville, Georginio Rutter, and Archie Gray all departing for the Premier League.
The Whites’ next three Championship encounters are against Cardiff, Coventry, and Norwich.
