EXCLUSIVE: Darwin Nunez of Liverpool is set to join the Saudi Pro League

At Liverpool right now, Darwin Nunez feels like a complete outsider. The Uruguayan is having difficulty breaking into the Reds’ starting lineup since Arne Slot prefers Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz for the center-forward position.

His tenure at Anfield may come to an end because of that. Interest is already beginning to increase after the Reds apparently set an asking price this week.

Anfield Watch is aware that the Saudi Pro League is interested in Darwin Nunez. In fact, they are prepared to make a play for the striker in what can turn out to be a significant Saudi Arabian season.

A number of celebrities are rumored to have left some of the biggest clubs in the world. Neymar’s contract with Al-Hilal expires in the summer, but the club has an option for an additional year, so he might be at the top of that list.

It’s unclear exactly where Nunez would go at this time. Saudi teams have to fulfill foreign player quotas, and it can be challenging to determine who has room for a new addition when players move around.

However, we are aware of the desire to recruit Nunez and capitalize on his uncertainties at Anfield. Furthermore, Nunez has not rejected the proposal.

We’d stop short of saying that’s a ‘yes’ or even a probable one, but he has not openly refused a move to Saudi Arabia. Keep an eye on this area.

For Liverpool, Nunez has always been an oddball. Few players have a better physical profile than him, and his talent is indisputable.

However, the forward is just untrustworthy. He will accomplish almost everything just the way you want him to, but when you expect a great player to perform, he will make an obvious error.

His inconsistency will prove to be his downfall at Liverpool, whether it was due to a poor finish or an incorrect pass. In addition to someone who can satisfy their physical standards, the Reds are looking for someone they can rely on in the number nine spot.

Nunez will therefore most likely have to make a decision. He will have to choose between staying and leaving, but Liverpool cannot make him leave if he doesn’t want to.

And Saudi Arabia is prepared to help him make that choice considerably simpler.
