Caoimhin Kelleher, Liverpool’s goalkeeper, wants to join a Premier League team this summer, according to Football Insider.

Last month (21 May), Football Insider learned that Kelleher, 25, is looking for a move away from Anfield.

The Republic of Ireland international wants to become the number one shot-stopper overseas despite having few opportunities in recent years.

Celtic are interested in signing the Liverpool backup player after Joe Hart retires at the end of the 2023-24 season.

On Monday (3 June), Football Insider stated that the Parkhead club may struggle to satisfy Liverpool’s appraisal of Kelleher this summer as they plan a £10 million deal.

In a major blow to Celtic, Liverpool player Kelleher wants to move to the Premier League.

In a further blow to Brendan Rodgers’ transfer intentions, it is understood the Irish ace is prioritising a move to the Premier League after impressing during his time at Liverpool.

In the 2023-24 season, he appeared 26 times for Liverpool in all competitions, including 10 games in the English Premier League.

Kelleher kept five clean sheets and allowed 32 goals in those games.

The Cork-born player is under contract at Anfield until June 2026, having signed his latest deal three years ago.

He joined Ringmahon in 2015 and has progressed through the youth ranks to become the backup to global great Alisson Becker.
