Edu Gaspar discussed his future this summer, prior to reports that Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis wanted to hire him.

Marinakis has been connected with a move for Arsenal’s sporting director, who has assisted Mikel Arteta in transforming the club into genuine Premier League championship challengers. Marinakis is rumored to desire Brazilian Edu to work for the three clubs he owns: Forest, Olympiacos, and Rio Ave.

Earlier this summer, Edu was asked about his future in an interview with the Brazilian publication Estadao. He said, “That’s a question I ask myself frequently.

“I’m living a dream I’ve always had. Today I’m not thinking about returning to Brazil.

“I can’t say never, but today I’m not thinking about it.” I want to stay here and possibly retire.

“I can’t think otherwise. As a director, I’ve won every title I won as a player. “The only thing missing is the Premier League.”
