Euro club wants player to leave Leeds in the summer; discussions are on the cards – report

According to Mucho Deporte, Real Betis will begin discussions to buy Leeds United midfielder Marc Roca this summer.

On 10 April, the Spanish media outlet stated that his health has been a concern since the turn of the year, with him still having fully recovered from pneumonia.

Despite the fact that his contract expires in 2026, the Whites are believed to be willing to let him leave.

Leeds United should consider selling Roca

Who signed from Bayern Munich in 2022 but did not make much of an effect.

The Spaniard performed admirably at Betis, but since January, Roca has been plagued by health problems, including pneumonia, which have severely limited his playing time and efficiency.

Given his impressive loan term at Betis and the Spanish club’s desire to retain him, a deal might be reached that benefits all parties concerned, as Leeds are unlikely to want to keep him.

However, Roca’s recent health difficulties may have an impact on the negotiations, as Betis may seek to sign him for a cheaper amount than originally expected.

Leeds’ readiness to trade Roca is most likely motivated by a desire to recuperate some of the price they paid for him and free up resources to bolster their squad as they seek promotion back to the Premier League.

It remains to be seen what the outcome of the negotiations will be, as Farke will want a big amount to reinvest in the squad.
