According to reports in Germany, Newcastle United will compete with several Premier League clubs this summer to capture a 2. Bundesliga star.

Following the January transfer window, the Magpies have been linked with a number of attacking players, including Victor Osimhen, Roger Fernandes, Victor Boniface, and Jean Phillipe-Mateta.

Antonio Cordeiro is expected to join our academy from Malaga this summer on a pre-contract basis, and another talented attacker is also being suggested, this time by German media.

After a few challenging windows, we’ll finally approach the summer in a much stronger PSR position, and Paul Mitchell is expected to sign a combination of youthful gems and proven stars capable of quickly improving Eddie Howe’s XI.

Newcastle faces tough competition for Maza.

According to SportBILD, Newcastle is one of seven Premier League clubs vying for the signing of Hertha Berlin’s Ibrahim Maza.

The 19-year-old attacking midfield prospect has five goals and four assists in the German second division this season, and his contract includes a €10 million release clause that will become effective this summer, attracting a lot of early interest.

That is not to imply a deal will be easy, as Brentford, Brighton, Leicester, Manchester City, Southampton, and Wolves are all said to be interested.

Last month, Manchester City outbid Newcastle for centre-backs Abdukhodir Khusanov and Juma Bah.

Atletico Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen, VfB Stuttgart, and Olympique Marseille are among the many potential purchasers for the Algerian talent we have previously expressed interest in, with SportBILD stating that we spoke with Hertha about Maza in December.

    Maza matches Mitchell’s recruitment plan.

Paul Mitchell’s effort to attract rising talents with the goal of progressing to the first team has been evident in recent months, with a rush of high-potential players connected with or completing moves to Tyneside.

Vakhtang Salia, Baran Yildiz, Kyle Fitzgerald, and Rory Finneran are just a few of the names that have recently signed and can be considered to be on the same path to the first team as Trevan Sanusi, Sean Neave, and Sam Alabi have been this season.

Little Benton was once a neglected project, but our academy has seen a big rise since sporting director Mitchell and, to a lesser extent, Dan Ashworth took over operations.
