According to Dr Rajpal Brar, Leeds United target and Crystal Palace forward Jesurun Rak-Sakyi is at risk of failing his physical during the current transfer window.

According to the injury expert, his hamstring rupture was Grade 3 and required surgery last season, causing him to miss the majority of the games.

While Leeds are interested in signing the 21-year-old English winger, and even made a last-ditch offer, he appears to be heading to Sheffield United. [Lyall Thomas, 12 August].

In an exclusive interview with MOT Leeds News, Brar, a Physical Therapist and Sports Scientist, said about Rak-Sakyi:

“He most likely suffered a Grade 3 hamstring rupture that necessitated surgery last season.”

“Based on the protracted timescale, there could have been a setback during recuperation.

“Depending on the injury specifics and possible setback, there’s a possibility for an issue with his medical.”

Leeds United must now consider alternative transfer targets.

Leeds may be avoiding a bullet by not signing Rak-Sakyi, as his recent injury history suggests he is not a trustworthy option for the team.

They must prioritize alternative targets who are less prone to injury and can give greater consistency to the club.

The Whites must continue their quest for a new winger without being discouraged by their failure to sign Rak-Sakyi.

With the transfer market still open, Leeds has plenty of time to locate a suitable successor and boost their squad for the coming season.
