Former England goalkeeper David Seaman has made his prediction for Saturday’s match between Luton Town and Nottingham Forest.
Nuno Espirito Santo and his players will go to Kenilworth Road for what can only be described as a relegation six-pointer.
The 50-year-old has had a difficult time since joining, but the game on Saturday comes against a team that is also struggling.
Ahead of the weekend game, Seaman has chimed in on who he believes will win all three points.
Seaman predicts Luton Town versus Nottingham Forest.
The importance of this game cannot be overstated, with Forest only three points clear of Luton heading into the game.
And Rob Edwards’ side is now in 18th place in the table, but three points for the hosts may move them out of the bottom three.
That would, of course, come at the price of Forest, who enter the game after four successive defeats.
However, speaking on the Seaman Says podcast, the 60-year-old predicted Forest’s victory. He stated, “I’m going for a 2-1 win, 2-1 Forest.” I just have a feeling Forest might prevail. It is only a hunch.”
Tight on the bottom
With a lengthy season ahead of them, the game this weekend is unlikely to decide either team’s fate.
Of course, Forest will not want to enter the international break in the bottom three positions.
Beyond Saturday’s game in Luton, the rest of the season is likely to be full of twists and turns.
This week, the Hatters exposed their flaws by giving up a three-goal lead to Bournemouth.
On top of the midweek disappointment, Forest will enter the game on Saturday with fresher legs.
Neco Williams recently claimed the Portuguese manager has his players’ support, but they must show it on Saturday.
But now it’s time for the Forest players to let their deeds speak for themselves.
They enter the game with a few days more rest than Luton; now they must demonstrate their drive to win and assist keep their team afloat.
