Danilo of Nottingham Forest is likely to heal from his broken ankle within six to eight weeks.

The Brazilian midfielder sustained the injury on the first day of the Premier League season, as the Reds drew 1-1 with Bournemouth at the City Ground.

After the game, Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo commented, “It was a horrible moment for everybody.” He shattered his ankle. This is serious.

“We’ll miss him not only on the pitch, but he’s a great kid. He always smiles, and we wish him the best.”

“Everybody loves him so much,” he added. “He is leaving the hospital right now, and he will be assessed tomorrow and the day after tomorrow. The good news is that he’s stable, speaks, and is conscious.

Danilo subsequently said on Instagram, “Hey everyone, I’m stopping by to say I’m fine, thank God, and I’m already home. We’ll be returning shortly, and thank you all for your messages of support.”

Now, journalist Bruno Andrade has provided an update on the social media network X. “Danilo will undergo “minimal surgery” on his left ankle tomorrow,” he wrote on Sunday. Fortunately, the injury to the Nottingham Forest player, while terrifying, is less serious than anticipated. The former Palmeiras player is anticipated to recover within 6 to 8 weeks.
