Crisis negotiations held as an update emerges on Clement’s resignation as Rangers manager – report

Rangers directors have held behind-the-scenes crisis discussions about Philippe Clement’s future, according to The Scottish Sun.

On January 10, the news site stated that the Belgian is hanging to his position, which is believed to be in jeopardy.

Some expected Clement to resign and declare his time was over, but that is not the case, as things stand.

Philippe Clement, the Rangers’ manager, has no motivation to retire due to the loss of a lucrative salary.

The Ibrox club offered him a long-term contract in the summer, and the Belgian would have guaranteed that he had a substantial compensation package in case he was fired.

He will be aware that the club is in serious financial circumstances and will not fire him until things go really bad, which some believe has already happened.

Patrick Stewart publicly supported him during a press conference on January 11, although his employment is believed to be in jeopardy.

Of course, the club’s CEO will not come out and declare they are considering sacking him, but the Belgian is aware that he is only a few bad results away from being fired.

Fans are unlikely to support the team unless big game-changing signings are made in January or a new manager is appointed.
