Isaac Schmidt has been chosen to FC St Gallen’s starting XI for their match against Trabzonspor on August 29, ahead of his deadline-day move to Leeds United.
On August 29, the Swiss team posted an image of their starting lineup on its X account, which included the defender.

Leeds United should do everything they can to sign Isaac Schmidt.
Despite having already signed Jayden Bogle this transfer window, Daniel Farke has expressed a strong desire to recruit another full-back before August 30.
The club has already lost Archie Gray to Tottenham this window, and with Stuart Dallas’ retirement and the departure of stalwart Luke Ayling, the Whites have found themselves short on full-backs.
The other two natural full-backs in the team are Sam Byram and Junior Firpo, but having only three of them for the first half of the season would be a difficult situation, especially given Firpo’s injury history.
Schmidt’s links to Leeds United first surfaced on the morning of August 29 [Blick], but since then, many compilations have been shared on social media, significantly increasing fans’ excitement over the possibility of signing the defender.
Only time will tell if a deal will be struck, but one thing is certain: if it is, Farke’s troops will be in a much better position.
