Leeds lost their first Championship game today, but they hope to enhance their squad by recruiting one of Chelsea’s bright young players.
Leeds conceded three goals at home to Portsmouth on the first day of the 24/25 season, drawing criticism from some fans.
Of course, Farke had to deal with the loss of Crysencio Summerville and Archie Gray this summer.
And, with Marseille attempting to swoop in on their bid for Jonathan Rowe, it appears like Leeds may have a difficult window.
However, according to Fabrizio Romano, Leeds are one of the teams trying to sign England and Chelsea youth standout Bashir Humphreys.
Leeds are hoping to recruit Bashir Humphreys from Chelsea.
Romano took to X to provide an update on Humphreys’ position, stating that Leeds and German clubs are interested in signing the Chelsea player.
Humphreys will leave on a permanent or loan basis, as the Blues desire an outright sell.
Humphreys is a ‘excellent’ potential for Leeds to consider. Given his limited opportunities at Chelsea, he may be ready to go on.
However, this is hardly an inexperienced player.
The 21-year-old centre-back performed admirably on loan with Swansea last season, and Michael Duff praised him for his impressive performances.
