‘Come on’ – Darren Bent amazed by what’s said live on air ahead of Man United vs Rangers

Darren Bent says he “can’t see” how Manchester United won’t beat Rangers in their Europa League match on Thursday.

Rangers prepare to meet United at Old Trafford on January 23, with both teams having rough seasons in their respective leagues.

Ruben Amorim’s side has perhaps had the most difficult season, with some even picking United to be relegated, but that didn’t deter Bent, who appeared to believe a win for the Red Devils was a given.

After co-host Andy Goldstein stated live on talkSPORT [23 January, 4:09pm] that he does not believe United would win, a surprised Bent responded: “I can’t see how you don’t think they will. “Come on.

Rangers need to prove Darren Bent incorrect against Manchester United.

Finally, nothing is guaranteed in football, and considering the state of turmoil at Manchester United, Rangers have a great chance of winning.

An away meeting at Old Trafford is nowhere near as daunting as it used to be and if anything, it can play into the away side’s benefit if things start off horribly for the Red Devils.

Frustration is palpable throughout Manchester United, and it will become audible if the Light Blues can neutralize any early threat from Amorim’s side; but, they will need to be at their best.

United still has extremely skilled players, many of whom are capable of doing substantial harm on almost any team in the world. If the Rangers are not at the races, they may bear the brunt of it.

It promises to be a fascinating encounter, but one that may benefit Rangers more.
