Besiktas intends to ‘take action’ on Nottingham Forest defender Joe Worrall, who has made an impressive start in Istanbul.
The 27-year-old centre-back was frozen out of Nottingham Forest’s first-team plans, and the club was looking to unload him during the winter transfer window.
During the January transfer window, Leeds United and Sheffield United expressed interest in signing Worrall, but no deal was made.
Besiktas stepped in, and with the Turkish transfer market still open, Worrall joined the team on loan.
The centre-back has made two appearances for Besiktas since signing and has impressed boss Fernando Santos.
According to Turkish site Fotomac (via A Spor), Besiktas is going to take action against Worrall.
The Black Eagles will strive to sign the Forest defender permanently.
Besiktas does have the option to keep Worrall permanently, but it remains to be seen whether they will pay the sum or negotiate a cheaper one.
Worrall has 226 appearances for Nottingham Forest throughout his career, and it remains to be seen whether he will make a permanent move away from the City Ground.
