Club announces a player valued at £20 million following a transfer to Nottingham Forest

It would seem that the story of Ramon Sosa and Nottingham Forest has taken yet another dramatic turn.

Since acquiring Jota Silva last week, the Reds have been pursuing additional wingers, with Sosa appearing to be their top choice.

It has been stated on multiple occasions that Sosa was on the verge of moving to Forest and that at one point, terms were agreed upon.

It was discovered yesterday that Forest had altered the offer when it came to formally submitting it after a verbal agreement.

Sosa’s current team, Talleres, has already issued a small declaration regarding his summertime plans on their official website.

Major announcement about Ramon Sosa’s future made by the club

Talleres is reportedly eager to get back almost £20 million for the services of a Paraguayan player who is a full international.

He seems to have a lot of talent, so once more Forest will sift through the South American market in an attempt to get a player who seems like a decent fit.

But tampering with the contract appears to have backfired, since the team has since announced that Sosa is once again available for selection.

While the negotiations were going on, he had been training alone, with Andres Fassi, the club’s owner, adopting a tough attitude.

According to La Voz’s translation of the statement, it states: “The club decided to support Ramon’s desire to take care of himself and continue his professional growth in another league by starting conversations.”

“The transfer negotiations failed to come to a consensus, even after the initial requirements. It does not follow that Sosa is unable to depart because he is once again being considered.

“The coaching staff can once again use Sosa, even though we are aware that there is still one month remaining in the transfer window to consider other options that would be in everyone’s best interests.”

Forest needs to truly move on from Sosa.

With just nine days until the start of the new Premier League season, Forest will want to have the majority of their team finalized.

To be honest, compared to past campaigns where Forest had holes in their squad, they are this time around tantalizingly near.

Sosa seems to have been a primary goal, and the way the club has handled Talleres’ bid seems a little strange.

Wesley has also been linked to Forest this summer; maybe the team will now pursue him instead of Wesley.

In any case, this is a story that needs to be resolved, and Forest would be wise to just pay for Sosa if they really want to bring him to England.

If not, the team needs to act fast to make sure Nuno Espirito Santo’s roster is fully filled before the transfer deadline.
