Chris Sutton has made his prediction for Nottingham Forest’s Premier League match against Fulham at the City Ground this evening (7.30pm kickoff).
On Saturday, the Reds climbed out of the Premier League relegation zone thanks to a Chris Wood goal in a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace.
Forest fans were looking for a win to raise their spirits just a few days after their team was docked four points for breaking Premier League spending regulations – and Sutton agreed. He had predicted a 1-0 Reds win.
In his usual BBC column, he is now commenting on Forest’s most recent adventure, and it is fair to assume he is taking a cautious approach.
The former Blackburn, Norwich, and Celtic striker admits: “I was mistaken when I assumed Fulham would defeat Sheffield United on Saturday, and Marco Silva’s side hasn’t won many games on the road this season.
“So Nottingham Forest will undoubtedly consider this as a winnable game – yet the same was true of their previous two games, against Luton and Crystal Palace, in which they lost both.
“Chris Wood is bailing Forest out at the moment with some important goals, and I would not be surprised if he scored again – but I expect this one will end up being a draw.”
Sutton’s prediction: 1–1.
