Celtic are in the hunt for a new goalkeeper and have highlighted Daniel Peretz as a candidate. Brendan Rodgers’ team has joined Nottingham Forest and a number of other clubs in the hunt to capture the Bayern Munich player.
According to Bild, the Bundesliga club will let the 23-year-old leave on loan during the summer transfer window.
Various clubs have expressed interest in the stopper, including Celtic and Nottingham Forest.
Rodgers’ side, the Reds, FC Copenhagen, Anderlecht, Real Betis, and Villarreal have all inquired about the Israel international. Union Berlin is also listed as an interested party.
The Bavarian club recruited Peretz from Maccabi Tel Aviv last summer, but he has only made two appearances this season. Despite minimal playing experience, Bayern are delighted with his progress.
The German giants want to send the goalkeeper out on loan next season so he can play more minutes. This would benefit Celtic, Nottingham Forest, and others, who might compete to capture Peretz in the next transfer window.
Bild makes no mention of whether Peretz or his club prefers Celtic or Nottingham Forest.
