Latest Nottingham Forest news as the Reds winger has grabbed the notice of rival clubs during the summer transfer window.
Callum Hudson-Odoi will be critical in helping Nottingham Forest climb the Premier League table this season, according to teammate Ola Aina.
Hudson-Odoi has already proven to be one of the Reds’ outstanding transfer deals in recent years. He joined Chelsea for an initial £3 million a year ago and has had a good debut season at the City Ground.
The 23-year-old finished the 2023/24 season on a high note, scoring eight goals in 35 appearances for Forest and demonstrating why he was once regarded as one of the Blues’ brightest prospects. Inevitably, such shape has led to speculation about his future this summer.
Several teams are reportedly keeping tabs on Hudson-Odoi, who is now valued at over £40 million. But the winger is allegedly pleased at Trentside, and Aina understands his value to Nuno Espirito Santo’s team.
“Everyone knows how talented Callum is. “He’s a fantastic footballer with tons of talent,” Aina told SportsBoom.com. “Callum can handle it all. He has improved over time and can cause trouble for anyone.
“Confidence is important to all of us, and it’s been wonderful to see his self-belief grow, because we all know what he is capable of.” In training, he has always been different. A natural. We are now witnessing it on the pitch on a weekly basis, which is unsurprising given his abilities.
“Callum’s performance will only improve. “He’ll build on this.”
Aina, too, will play a significant role for the Reds in 2024/25. After two consecutive relegation battles, Forest will be hoping to stay in the top flight this time.
“It’s great to have another chance in the Premier League,” remarked the full-back. “We’re going to seize this opportunity. There are always highs and lows, but hard effort is essential, and we give it our best.”
