According to TEAMtalk, Brighton have ruled out a summer signing for Leeds United ace Crysencio Summerville.
The news agency said on July 9 that, despite holding serious talks for the Dutchman, the Premier League club is no longer in contention.
Liverpool, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain are all reportedly battling for the winger’s transfer.
How this affects Leeds United and Crysencio Summerville
When the summer window originally opened, Summerville’s name was the one most frequently mentioned in relation to an Elland Road exit.
The West Yorkshire club needed to make a big sale in order to comply with the EFL’s PSR regulations for the 2023/24 season.
Fortunately for Daniel Farke’s squad, they were able to offload academy graduate Archie Gray to Tottenham for £40 million in a massive transaction.
This brought them up to the required level, putting the club in a significantly stronger negotiation position than before the sale.
This has allowed Paraag Marathe to demand more for his key players, including rejecting a £30 million approach for Georginio Rutter.
Although there is still plenty of time left in the window and a multitude of teams interested in adding Summerville to their roster, it appears that he will stay.
