Earlier today, we discussed La Nazione’s story, which suggested that Newcastle United remains interested in Fiorentina’s Nico Gonzalez. There appears to be increased Premier League interest in the Argentina international.

La Nazione reported that Juventus was willing to provide players as part of their deal, and Atalanta was also looking to offer Juan Musso as part payment.

Newcastle’s potential move could be jeopardized, with Olé in Argentina citing interest from both Brighton and Nottingham Forest.
Fiorentina considers Gonzalez to be one of their greatest players and wants to get the most out of him. Brighton and Forest have both expressed interest in the winger, although no offer has been made yet.

According to the source, the player’s formal offer is ‘anticipated’ to arrive within the next few days. Having said that, Juventus leads Nottingham Forest and Brighton in the race, with Thiago Motta seeing Gonzalez as an important element of his ambitions.

Nottingham Forest or Brighton offering a straight cash deal may be preferable to Fiorentina.
