According to Graeme Bailey, Atletico Madrid is one of the teams interested in recruiting Crysencio Summerville from Leeds United.
In an update posted on HITC [5 April], Bailey revealed that Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen and Portuguese powerhouse Porto have also visited Summerville.
According to reports, numerous English clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, Liverpool, and West Ham, may be ready to test Leeds’ resolve during the summer transfer window.
However, if the Whites are promoted to the Premier League, they plan to engage with the Dutchman about extending his time at Elland Road.
Leeds paid how much for Crysencio Summerville?
Summerville has been in excellent form for Leeds this season and would be a huge loss if he was signed by another club.
The Netherlands Under-21 international, who signed for Feyenoord for a bargain £1.3 million in 2020 [The Sun], has 17 goals and eight assists in 37 Championship matches in 2023-24.
Summerville is fourth in the English second division for goal involvements, trailing Morgan Whittaker (26), Sammie Szmodics (27), and Adam Armstrong (31).
Summerville’s Elland Road contract still has two years to run, which gives Leeds some power, especially if promotion is secured.
At the same time, if there is to be another season of Championship football, a big-money bid for Summerville may put Leeds under some pressure.
Fingers crossed it is not a problem for the club, as automatic promotion is still very much on.
