Aston Villa are allegedly looking for a new winger this month, with Galatasaray’s Wilfried Zaha among Unai Emery’s targets.
The Ivorian attacker only joined the Turkish club from Crystal Palace six months ago, thus the Villians will face a difficult battle in completing the transaction.Zaha, 31, is also off to a good start in Turkey. He has scored seven goals and provided two assists in his first 21 games across all competitions, including a crucial goal against previous club Manchester United in the Champions League group stage.
As a result, Emery has once again become interested in the 31-year-old’s form. The Spaniard is said to be a long-time admirer of the former Palace wideman, and he even attempted to sign him while he was Arsenal manager.
Although landing Zaha remains as difficult as ever, according to a recent Football Transfers report, the Midlands giants, who are having one of their best seasons in recent history, are hoping their current second-place Premier League position will persuade Galatasaray’s number 14 to return to England.
Zaha, who has two-and-a-half years left on his current deal, scored 90 goals in 458 appearances while playing for Palace’s first team, which was split between two spells.
