The latest Liverpool news and speculations before of Sunday’s FA Cup match against Plymouth
Liverpool will attempt to prolong their FA Cup trip this season when they visit Championship side Plymouth Argyle on Sunday afternoon.
The Reds defeated Accrington Stanley 4-0 at Anfield in the third round, and they will be looking for a repeat of last month’s result at Home Park.
But you already knew that, didn’t you?
Liverpool are apparently aiming to restructure their forward line this summer, with Arne Slot preparing to offload two strikers.
According to Anfield Watch, both Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota could depart Anfield at the end of the season, as both attackers have “frustrated” Slot this season.
Diaz was one of the Reds’ best performances in the early part of the season, but he appears to have been passed over by Gakpo in the pecking order.
Jota, meanwhile, has made only seven Premier League appearances this season owing to a number of injuries.
As a result, the Reds believe Slot may try to move the pair at the conclusion of the season.
Liverpool midfielder suffered an injury blow.
Stefan Bajcetic, a Liverpool loanee, suffered an injury while making his debut appearance for La Liga club Las Palmas on Saturday.
After his temporary move to RB Salzburg was cut short, the midfielder joined the Spaniards on loan for the rest of the season last week.
On Saturday night, he played 78 minutes in Las Palmas’ 2-1 loss to Villarreal.
After the game, head coach Diego Martinez stated: “Like Stefan, they are players who, for whatever reason, have not trained in a long time and have not had continuity in training.
“In principle, they are normal overloads that have gone up in the femoral muscles, but they have to wait, although it’s as if nothing had happened.”
