Tottenham Hotspur has made one signing in the January transfer window, bringing Antonin Kinsky from Slavia Prague.

Spurs recruited the 21-year-old for £12.5 million to bolster their goalkeeping ranks following Guglielmo Vicario’s injury and Fraser Forster’s illness.

Kinsky made a successful start for Tottenham, who defeated Liverpool in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final.

Tottenham legend Graham Roberts lauded Kinsky, and Spurs fans were ecstatic with their new signing’s debut.

Kinsky struggled against Arsenal, and Tottenham fell 2-1 in the North London derby.

Ange Postecoglou, speaking ahead of Spurs’ Premier League match against Everton, discussed Kinsky’s experience at N17.

The Tottenham manager also discussed the “enormous benefit” the team will derive from Kinsky and what they are doing with him.

Tottenham are looking for a goalkeeper with Antonin Kinsky’s attributes,

Postecoglou acknowledged to football.london that Tottenham have handed Kinsky a baptism of fire.

However, the Spurs manager believes that throwing him into the deep end will allow him to gather experience quickly, which will benefit both the player and the squad.

Postecoglou also described Kinsky as a “very assured young man” with “all the attributes” Tottenham seeks in a goalie.

“It’s fair to say we’ve thrown him into the deep end,” said Postecoglou. “He has faced three significant hurdles in various ways.

“He is undoubtedly acquiring experience swiftly when you consider the games he has played and the obstacles that come with them.

“I think he handled it very well.” I’ve said it since the beginning: he’s a confident young man.

“From a goalkeeping standpoint, he possesses all of the qualities we are looking for and believe would be a terrific fit for us.

“Like I said, we have thrown him in at the deep end but we will get enormous benefit from that.”

Who else might join Tottenham after Kinsky?

Kinsky is a much-needed addition to Tottenham following the troubles that have affected Vicario and Forster.

However, Spurs aren’t done yet in the January transfer window.

A new defender is a priority, and Tottenham would like a left-sided defender, with Slovakians Milan Skiniar and David Hancko on their radar.

In terms of attacking players, Tottenham have recently been linked with Barcelona winger Ansu Fati and AC Milan forward Noah Okafor.
