Ange Postecoglou has provided an injury update on Tottenham defender Ben Davies ahead of their Premier League match against Everton on Sunday.

Spurs suffered their 11th Premier League defeat of the season on Wednesday (15 January), losing 2-1 to Arsenal at the Emirates, with the club smuggling out a multi-million document moments before kick-off in North London.

As a result, Postecoglou is anxious for a win against the Toffees at Goodison Park on January 19, with Gary Neville making a “stupid” statement ahead of the Premier League match.

If Spurs lose on Merseyside, Postecoglou is anticipated to be removed.

As a result, the Australian will be glad to welcome Davies back into the fold, saying ahead of the trip to Everton [via Football London, 17 January], “Ben Davies should be involved.”

Will Ange Postecoglou bring back Ben Davies for Tottenham’s game against Everton?

Davies has not been seen since the 1-0 Premier League defeat to Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on December 5. As a result, Postecoglou has had to rely on Archie Gray, who has been linked with a move to Real Madrid [via Fichajes, 12 January], and Radu Drăgușin as his centre-backs.

As a result, the 59-year-old will be overjoyed to welcome Davies back into the fold.

The Spurs defender last played a full 90 minutes in the 1-1 Premier League tie with Fulham at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on December 1, demonstrating his importance to the squad that day.

According to Sofascore, he completed 97 percent of his passes, showcasing his ball skills. He also made seven clearances, four interceptions, and blocked three shots.

Furthermore, three of his four long balls were accurate, and while he only won three of his eight ground duels and lost one aerial duel, he only gave up possession twice, demonstrating a level of ball control that Spurs has lacked in recent weeks.

As a result, Postecoglou will be hoping that Davies can start or at least play a role at Goodison Park.
