Adam Pope, a BBC Radio Leeds journalist, has stated on his X account that he is “not expecting much” from Leeds United on the first day of the transfer window.

The West Yorkshire outfit is preparing for a hectic summer, with the club need to comply with PSR requirements by June 30.

There have been lots of murmurs around the club about potential moves, but nothing has come to fruition as of yet.

Which players could leave Leeds United this summer?

Although rumours have already begun to circulate, now that the transfer window is officially open, they are certain to intensify.

Many of Leeds’ starting players have previously been identified as potential departures from the club this summer for a variety of reasons.

However, Leeds’ major issue is that they need to raise up to £100 million [Daily Mail, 16 May] after failing to achieve promotion to the Premier League.

In addition to the exorbitant amount of money that needed to be raised, the fact that the Whites did not receive promotion was rather surprising.

Leeds, along with Leicester and Southampton, were tipped to return to the Premier League immediately.

However, despite scoring 90 points, it was not to be, and the club is now back in the Championship for another season.

Crysencio Summerville and Cody Drameh are just two of the players connected with leaving Elland Road this season.

However, the former is more likely to depart. The Netherlands international enjoyed a standout season at Leeds.

The attacker played 49 games and scored 31 goals. 21 of them were his own goals, with the remaining 10 aiding his teammates.

With such impressive results, it’s no surprise that numerous Premier League clubs are interested in signing him.
