‘A wonderful buy’: Paul Robinson tells Leeds United the signing they simply must make in the summer

Leeds United can begin to dream about playing in the Premier League next season after victories like Wednesday night.

On Wednesday, Leeds United hammered Watford 4-0 away from home. Goals came from Dan James who scored twice, Manor Solomon and then Joel Piroe in the second half, as Daniel Farke’s side open up a five point lead at the top of the Championship table.

It’s now 14 games unbeaten for the Whites. There’s also been six clean sheets in a row for Illan Meslier who’s had a handful of stops to make in that time, with Leeds simply too good for any team in the Championship right now.

Sunderland comes up next, followed by a game versus Sheffield United. Wins in both of those games could almost guarantee promotion for Leeds United, who will have a very busy summer ahead of them, with Farke already looking at certain players.

Farke most likely has his eye on Solomon.

Paul Robinson wants Leeds United to pick up Manor Solomon scored his seventh Championship goal and assisted seven times at Vicarage Road this season. The Tottenham loanee has been on fire in recent weeks, leaving many fans wondering if he will sign permanently in the summer.

Tottenham are reportedly preparing huge changes in the summer, which might lead to the 25-year-old Solomon leaving. If that’s the case, former Leeds goalkeeper Paul Robinson wants Solomon to stay at Elland Road permanently.

Robinson tells Leeds Live: “He’s done well at Leeds with his goals and assists, and you don’t know what’s going to happen at Tottenham with the manager and who’s recruiting the players, so there may be a window of opportunity for Leeds United to sign Manor Solomon, but others will be looking at him.” If Leeds do get promoted, he would be a fantastic signing.”

The 49ers’ stance on signing Manor Solomon has been revealed.

Solomon is currently establishing himself with Leeds. However, it may not be enough for him to break into the Tottenham Hotspur Premier League squad.

Nonetheless, the 49ers are yet to make a decision on Solomon and whether or not they want to sign the winger in the summer. Speaking to Leeds United News recently, transfer expert Graeme Bailey explained: “He is doing a very good and it is something being considered by the club. But I am told a definitive decision has not been made.”

Leeds have 14 games left in the season, including a promotion double header against Sunderland and Sheffield United. Expect Farke to be totally focused on those games, with talks about players like Solomon likely to take place when the season is completed.
