According to a GiveMeSport story, Leeds United midfielder Archie Gray may be getting a new contract with a “bumper pay rise.”
Since making his debut in the opening match of the 2023–24 season against Cardiff City, Gray, 18, has established himself as a first-team regular, assisting the Whites in their quest for automatic promotion back to the Premier League.
Liverpool has apparently taken notice of the teenager’s mature displays and made a big-money bid, according to the Daily Mail.

It makes sense that Leeds would want to present Gray with a competitive new contract.
The 18-year-old center midfielder has spent most of the season playing right-back out of position, yet he has barely made a mistake. This is an even more remarkable accomplishment given that it is his first season playing senior football.
Given Gray’s performances, Liverpool’s alleged interest is not surprising, and a wage increase would help persuade the teenager to stay at Elland Road and continue his growth rather than transferring elsewhere.
It is also ideal for Leeds to keep Gray growing as a resource.
Although it is understandable that supporters would prefer to see the midfielder stay with the team, it is important to think about the possibility of a player of Gray’s caliber leaving. Should that happen, the Whites will want to get the best deal possible, and giving Gray more time to grow and develop will only raise his value.
