Recent developments at Tottenham Hotspur suggest a significant desire to sign a winger during the forthcoming summer transfer window, with Wolves’ Pedro Neto emerging as a key target.

However, journalist Ben Jacobs believes Spurs may be hesitant to pay the high price set by Wolves for the Portuguese international.

During a Q&A session with The Athletic, David Ornstein revealed that Wolves are looking for roughly £80 million for Pedro Neto.

According to Ben Jacobs, Tottenham’s management considers this worth to be £10 million to £15 million greater than what they are willing to offer.

    Speaking with GiveMeSport, he said:

“Even if they haven’t exactly replaced Harry Kane, if they utilize Son or Richarlison to lead the line and Timo Werner stays permanently, perhaps there is room in that Neto position.

“So, I believe Tottenham will be there and revive that interest. But I also believe there is a £10 million to £15 million difference between how suitors assess Neto and the number Wolves seek presently.”

This suggests Spurs are willing to pay up to £65-70 million for Pedro Neto.

Neto has been in outstanding form this season, scoring two goals and assisting nine times in 17 English Premier League appearances, ranking him fourth in the division in terms of assists.

With Ange Postecoglou looking to add a wide forward to the squad for the upcoming season, Tottenham face heavy competition for Neto’s signature, with Liverpool and Arsenal also allegedly interested.

Spurs will face heavy competition for his signature, with sources indicating that Liverpool and Arsenal are among the clubs interested in signing him.

Furthermore, Financial Fair Play and PSR laws may compel Wolves to sell Neto in order to earn finances for summer moves, potentially offering interested teams negotiating strength.
