Say it slowly, but we could have some good Nottingham Forest news. After a day in which Nuno’s side was hammered by the Netherlands, there is some good news from Italy on Tuesday evening.
Calciomercato Report AS Roma is in talks to transfer Edoardo Bove to Nottingham Forest.
The 22-year-old midfielder has no room to grow at the Serie A club, and his situation has gotten worse this summer. He has been connected with a number of alternatives, including the Premier League, but his future remains uncertain as the deadline approaches.
Bove is not part of Daniele De Rossi’s project, so the club is willing to sell and has told the player. Roma do not want a dry loan and would want a permanent transfer or, at the very least, a loan with a buy clause next summer.
According to Calciomercato, Nottingham Forest is the only Premier League club that has made a concrete bid for Bove. That bid fell short of the player’s €15 million Roma valuation, and the two clubs are now negotiating to ‘attempt and meet each other’s needs’.
