Nottingham Forest are about to play their second game of the 2024/25 Premier League season.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side has earned a point after drawing with Bournemouth on the opening day.
Forest have had a busy summer, with eight players joining the club during the transfer season.
More players might be on their way, with Forest closing in on a deal to capture Arsenal forward Eddie Nketiah before the deadline next week.
However, there have been player exits, with the Reds offloading players earlier this summer to balance the books.
The most recent of these exits has prompted a lot of celebrities to post their opinions on social media.
James Maddison responds to the transfer news out of Nottingham Forest
There is still time for more players to depart the club, with summer signing Jota Silva potentially joining Olympiacos on loan for the season.
With Orel Mangala and Moussa Niakhate leaving to battle Forest’s PSR worries, the City Ground has seen huge sales.
However, the departure of the ‘great’ Joe Worrall has sparked a strong reaction from fellow footballers and athletes.
Worrall has left the City Ground and joined Championship side Burnley.
“Nottingham is home. It will always be home,” Worrall stated in a farewell video shared to Instagram.
In the video, James Maddison and Djed Spence discussed the player’s exit from Forest.
“You’re brilliant, mate, and really articulate. Tottenham Hotspur’s Maddison remarked, “I achieved what so many people dream of at their boyhood club.”
Spence just replied with a clapping emoji.
Stuart Broad responded to Joe Worrall’s Forest farewell.
Worrall has been with Forest since he was a child, and in 14 years, he has made 226 appearances.
However, the centre-back has spent a significant amount of time away from the club, on loan with several other teams.
After only 440 minutes in the Premier League last season, it was evident that the 27-year-old needed a change to play more regular first-team football.
But his time at Forest will not be forgotten, with Stuart Broad expressing his appreciation for the centre-back’s efforts.
“This is the end. Goosebumps. “What a guy,” Broad remarked.
