According to Football Insider, Leeds United are in talks to sign three more players before the transfer deadline next week.
Following the recent announcement of the signing of Almeria forward Largie Ramazani, the Elland Road recruitment team has turned its attention to other areas of the club.
They are currently focusing on signing a central midfielder, a full-back, and a forward to replace Georginio Rutter, who left for Brighton earlier in the window.
Negotiations are understood to be in the early stages, with Football Insider reporting earlier on Friday that Bournemouth’s Max Aarons is one of the top targets.
Daniel Farke has lost key players such as Crysencio Summerville, Archie Gray, and Glen Kamara, as well as Rutter, this summer as the first-team group from last season has been dismantled.
However, the club is now aiming for a hectic finale to the window as they attempt to replace departing players and strengthen their roster.
Leeds United’s three-man transfer shortlist emerges to support Daniel Farke’s promotion bid.
Leeds have lost 19 players this summer, 11 of whom were in Farke’s team last season, with only five new signings.
They now have one of the Championship’s smallest rosters, and some of their key players have left to chase bigger goals.
This has left the board with a lot of work to do before the transfer window ends on August 30th, amid a hurry to strengthen Farke’s team.
A disappointing start to the season, in which they failed to win any of their first three games (a loss and two draws), has raised the need for new contracts.
Ilia Gruev’s midfield partner remains a priority in the final stages, while finding appropriate replacements for Rutter and Gray is viewed as critical to their promotion bid.
Meanwhile, Ramazani is considered as the guy to replace Summerville after joining West Ham, and fans are thrilled about what he can bring to the team.
Farke and his recruitment team are already working hard to find replacements for the other departing talents, as their goal remains to gain promotion to the Premier League.
