According to the outlet’s website on August 19, the French star’s transfer has yet to be formalized, but it should be completed soon.
Brighton activated an escape option in the 22-year-old’s contract with “hours to spare” as he appears to be the latest significant player to leave Elland Road.
Sky Sports On August 17, Germany’s Florian Plettenberg stated that Rutter’s Seagulls physical was complete and the contract had already been signed, but the wait for an announcement continues.
Daniel Farke is still likely to lose Leeds United’s star to Amex.
The extra time that has elapsed without this transfer being confirmed may have created faint expectations that the Whites’ attacker will return to Elland Road after his departure clause has expired.

The German wants four acquisitions [The Athletic, 16 August] to replace those he lost this summer, but there has been no movement in getting him the players he requires since either Crysencio Summerville left for West Ham or Glen Kamara left for Rennes before that.
The Whites have been after Norwich City’s Jonathan Rowe for some time, but a deal has still to be completed, despite competitors appearing to have cleared the way for Leeds [Santi Aouna, 13 August].
And, while there is undoubtedly work going on behind the scenes, there has been no visible progress on the midfielder and second full-back positions.
Sales were apparently scheduled for Patrick Bamford and Joel Piroe this summer [Daily Mail, 1 July], but the Englishman now appears to be staying into the transfer window’s closing date.
