According to Turkish media, Southampton and Nottingham Forest are interested in Fenerbahce defender Ferdi Kadıoğlu.
The 24-year-old has been linked with a move to the Premier League in recent weeks, following his performances at Euro 2004 this summer.
According to Sabah, Southampton and Nottingham Forest are among the English clubs interested in signing Kadıoğlu, a left back.
Both teams reportedly made offers for the Turkey international, but they were turned down. There are no reports on the numbers that were tabled, although Fener values the player at around €35 million.
However, according to Sabah, Fenerbahce is unwilling to sell the defender during current transfer window and is instead attempting to sign him to a five-year contract.
Despite this, it has been reported that the athlete is interested in playing in England, therefore the two desires may collide.
Last season, Kadıoğlu made 41 appearances for Fenerbahce and scored 3 goals. His contract with the Yellow Canaries runs until June 2026.
