Jose Mourinho, the manager of Fenerbahce, is eager to sign a highly rated Nottingham Forest player this summer transfer window.
Nottingham Forest were docked points last season for violating Financial Fair Play regulations, so they’re being much more cautious this summer in their transfer business.
Like all clubs in the Premier League, they’ll have to trade and raise funds through player sales in order to facilitate moves for new signings, of which they’ve made six so far.
With that said, one of Nuno Espirito Santo’s key players is now being mooted with a switch to Mourinho’s Fenerbahce.
Fenerbahce want Nottingham Forest midfielder Nicolas Dominguez
Turkish giants Galatasaray submitted a £11m bid for Nottingham Forest midfielder Nicolas Dominguez earlier in the window.
That was evidently knocked back by the East Midlanders but now interest is gathering once again for the 26-year-old.
This time it’s Fenerbahce who are pursuing Dominguez with the charge led by former Chelsea and Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho.
That’s according to Sabah, who claim he’s on the transfer shortlist along with Scott McTominay, Sander Berg and Sofyan Amrabat.
The Super Lig side have also been credited with an interest in his teammate Ibrahim Sangare.
Nottingham Forest cannot lose Nicolas Dominguez.
Forest should not entertain any offers for Dominguez this summer, given his strong pre-season performances.
The Argentinian midfielder, described as a’standout’ player by The Athletic, has established himself as an important part of Nuno’s plans and should improve this season as he approaches his prime years.
