Nottingham Forest are insisting on signing French teenager Bradley Locko and ‘intensifying’ their efforts to do so.
According to Le 10 Sport, Nottingham Forest are determined to sign the Stade Brestois kid.
They explain that Locko is currently impressing with the French team at the Olympics, which has sparked further interest in him, with Nottingham Forest originally connected a month ago.
That story also indicated that Napoli were interested, but Le 10 claims that is not the case and that Forest are winning the fight for him.
They are ‘totally on’ the 22-year-old and working ‘nearly daily’ to take the talks with Stade Brestois further.
They’ve made the player a priority in order to bolster their defence, but Brest are currently refusing to lower their asking price of €15 million, which Forest refuses to pay.
Locko is aware of the interest, is ‘attentive’ to any opportunities that may come, and has stated that the Nottingham Forest project appeals to him. If he had to go, he wishes to join Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.
However, the two teams must still reach an agreement, which appears to require Nottingham Forest to increase their willingness to spend.
