Nottingham Forest has been one of the Premier League’s busiest clubs this summer in terms of transfers.
Nuno Espirito Santo was assigned five fresh players for Forest’s recent trip to Spain, where they played three friendlies.
However, after returning to the United Kingdom, Evangelos Marinakis has been a very busy owner, securing two more signings.
On Thursday, Forest signed Jota Silva from Vitoria de Guimaraes, becoming the club’s sixth signing of the summer.
And it appears that it only took them a few hours to land player number seven in the window.

Last season, Forest struggled in front of goal, with only three other teams scoring fewer than their 49 goals.
However, it is clear that Forest are thrilled to be getting Silva, a dynamic forward who scored 11 goals and assisted six times in the Portuguese top flight last season.
“We can see how excited Jota is to continue his career journey beyond Portugal where he has enjoyed such a strong period in the Primeira Liga with Vitoria Guimaraes, which resulted in him earning his debut for the Portuguese National Team back in March,” Ross Wilson, Forest’s chief financial officer, said on their website.
According to writer Bruno Andrade, Forest has recruited Ramon Sosa from CA Talleres to aid improve their offensive options.
The announcement comes just one day after Forest confirmed the signing of Portugal international Silva from Vitoria.
However, this means that a move for Wesley is now doubtful, as the player is expected to attract interest from other English clubs.
Nottingham Forest currently have some strong attack options.
Although Forest struggled to score goals last season, Nuno still had tremendous attacking talent into the summer.
However, what Forest have done this summer is add more depth to their team, which can only be good.
If injuries occur, Nuno will have players who can replace players like Callum Hudson-Odoi and Anthony Elanga.
Furthermore, with excellent arrivals vying for slots in the starting XI, these players should be even more motivated to step up their game.
