Nottingham Forest are determined to sign two new wingers before the new Premier League season begins.
Earlier today, Forest were connected with a bid for Wesley, who would be another signing from Corinthians.
There have also been some links to Ramon Sosa, though the deal is proving difficult to complete.
Forest do have Callum Hudson-Odoi and Anthony Elanga in their squad, but Nuno Espirito Santo wants to increase the battle for places.
Now it’s another day, another link to an attacker, and another name has been added to the mix.
Nottingham Forest make an offer for Jota Silva.
The Vitoria Guimaraes winger will be in high demand, and a handful of clubs are already attempting to sign him.
According to the Portuguese outlet Record, Krasnodar, Forest, and Panathinaikos are all interested in signing Silva.
It is said that his exit may be finalized in a matter of days, with three concrete offers on the table for the 24-year-old.
Forest has paid a cost of £5 million, with other add-ons included in the bid.
Krasnodar has offered a greater fee at this stage, but it will most likely come down to the player’s preference – and the Premier League is undoubtedly a desirable destination.
Silva could be really useful. Forest Signing
This may be a fantastic signing, because he’s known for playing primarily on the right side – though he can play anywhere along the front line.
Last season, the winger scored 15 goals, assisted seven times, and received 11 yellow cards.
Silva’s season has already begun, with him scoring in a 1-0 win over Floriana in the UEFA Europa Conference League qualifications.
Silva appears to be a good fit for Forest, as he scored more last season than Elanga and Hudson-Odoi.
This appears to be a reasonable bargain, and we believe that this type of player will arrive at Forest with a strong desire to achieve.
Once again, he has a beautiful profile, and as a 24-year-old, he hasn’t achieved his peak, which would give Forest some resale value.
