Leeds United are looking to recruit Crystal Palace winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi this summer.

On the most recent episode of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior journalist Pete O’Rourke stated that Leeds are among the clubs monitoring his situation, but they face stiff competition for his services.

Southampton are said to have had a £7 million bid rejected and are considering an upgraded bid of £12 million, which sources suggest Leeds would not be willing to match.

Daniel Farke’s side is thought to favor a loan transfer for the winger, but will have to beat off competition from Charlton Athletic, Sheffield United, Watford, Luton, and QPR.

Crystal Palace, meanwhile, are unlikely to let the 21-year-old depart on a permanent basis and are more likely to consider loan offers.

Leeds United joins the competition to recruit Jesurun Rak-Sakyi from Crystal Palace.

Rak-Sakyi is a Crystal Palace youth academy graduate who has made ten first-team appearances for the Eagles.

During his first full season in senior football, he scored 15 goals and assisted nine others in 49 appearances while on loan with Charlton in 2022-23.

Those performances drew interest from numerous Championship clubs last summer, but then-Palace manager Roy Hodgson chose to keep him at the club to give depth out wide.

After a challenging season in which Rak-Sakyi was sidelined for extended periods of time due to injury, Oliver Glasner is eager to give him another season to develop in the second division.

Several top Championship clubs are vying for his signature, with Leeds joining the fray facing the possibility of losing Crysencio Summerville and Wilfried Gnonto.

Both wingers have been linked with moves to the Premier League this summer, following Farke’s side’s failure to secure promotion last season.
