Nottingham Forest are looking to capture RB Leipzig goalkeeper Péter Gulácsi in the winter transfer window.
Since the start of the 2022/23 season, the Hungary international has been demoted to a backup duty, and the Tricky Trees wish to make room for the 33-year-old.
According to Bild, Nottingham Forest hopes to ‘lure him’ and has submitted a ‘formal request’ to the Bundesliga club.
Matt Turner has two clean sheets and 26 goals conceded in 16 league games, while Odysseas Vlachodimos has made five appearances.
According to Bild, Nottingham Forest want to make Gulácsi their new No.1 and have offered him a contract until 2026.
Leipzig, for their part, do not want the player to depart because manager Marco Rose has declared that he will play both first-choice goalkeeper Janis Blaswich and the Hungarian in the second half of the season.
Bild does not indicate whether Nuno Espírito Santo’s side has made an offer to Leipzig.
According to Sky Deutschland, Nottingham Forest are interested in Gulácsi but have yet to make a written bid.
Unlike Bild, who mentions a contract until 2026, the Tricky Trees are looking for a loan arrangement, which does not please Leipzig, especially given Rose’s wish to keep the goalie.
