Tottenham Hotspur may not be done in the transfer market this month, according to a fresh report, with the North London club reportedly close to acquiring two more players in the January window.
Spurs fans have had a very happy winter window thus far, with the signings of Timo Werner and Radu Dragusin occurring early in the month.
The club has also lost periphery players such as Hugo Lloris, Eric Dier, and Djed Spence, while Ivan Perisic, Japhet Tanganga, and Alfie Devine have all won loan deals to advance their careers.
However, the work does not appear to be completed just yet. The Lilywhites have been extensively connected with a transfer for Club Brugge winger Antonio Nusa in a €30 million (£25.7 million) deal, with the teenager expected to stay on loan with his present club until the end of the season.
It has also been heavily stated that Tottenham are trying to sign a new midfielder before the end of the month.
Will Tottenham sign two more players this month?
According to Football Insider sources, Spurs are likely to close the summer window with Nusa and a new player in the bag.
Tottenham are reportedly “confident of agreeing” on the double swoop this month. As it stands, the club is “closing in” on Nusa’s transfer, despite the fact that there is still “work to do” to complete the discussions.
The Lilywhites are reportedly “working hard” to sign a new midfielder. According to the report, Spurs have now “prioritised” that position as their next major area of improvement.
Spurs Web Opinion
If we can sign Antonio Nusa and improve our midfield options this month, we will have had a tremendous transfer window that will take us a long way toward having the kind of squad Ange Postecoglou requires to compete at the highest level.
