Gary Lineker has stated that a ‘magical’ talent linked with a move to Liverpool is now the most improved player at Euro 2024.
Right now, it appears that Arne Slot’s primary signings for the new era at Anfield will be a new centre-back and another winger.
Virgil van Dijk, who is now shining for the Netherlands at Euro 2024, has yet to determine his future with Liverpool, which must be overlooked while planning for next season and beyond.
And, given that Ibrahima Konate, who has recently lost his starting berth for France, struggled last season, it could be an important area to add a fresh player capable of starting.
Otherwise, Slot may sign a new winger, regardless of Luis Diaz’s future.
Wingers are critical to Slot’s style, which favors direct wide men who excel in one-on-one situations.
And, while Germany’s Jamal Musiala does not quite fit that description, Liverpool’s long-term interest is understandable.

Liverpool are rumored to be interested in Musiala this summer, and Gary Lineker has spoken highly of him.
On ‘The Rest Is Football’ podcast, Lineker was asked who he thought was the most improved player at Euro 2024.
And without a doubt, the commentator cited Musiala’s name, which is becoming increasingly recognized throughout Europe.
Lineker just responded: “Musiala, you know. I mean we all know he’s a fantastic talent, but he’s also quite sharp. Magical.”
And, while it may be unrealistic for Bayern Munich to ever part with such a talent, German journalist Christian Falk recently hinted at some concern about Musiala’s future.
As previously indicated, Musiala may not be the ideal player for Liverpool this summer, even if he can play out wide, but the German is certainly ‘too talented not to sign’ if he is available.
