Chelsea would only consider loan bids for Gilchrist, which will benefit Leeds, who plan to use the loan market this summer to reinforce their squad for another shot at Premier League promotion. Gilchrist, who came through Chelsea’s youth, is regarded as a potential star at the club and has recently had a breakthrough season after being used by Mauricio Pochettino in the previous season, primarily coming off the bench to impress.
