Leeds are working on the Rodon deal.
According to Football Insider, Leeds United are considering making Joe Rodon’s loan deal from Tottenham permanent. Since joining Daniel Farke’s team in the summer, the Welsh defender has made 23 appearances in the Championship.
It is thought that Leeds’ desire is to complete a deal as soon as possible, although this may not be achievable within the January window due to the estimated transfer costs. The 26-year-old’s potential cost is thought to range between £15 million and £20 million, depending on his performances between now and the conclusion of the season.
According to EFL72, “Rodon has been a key part of Leeds’ success so far this season, and Farke will undoubtedly want to secure a permanent deal as soon as possible.” However, a transfer cost in that region will undoubtedly jeopardize any prospects this month and create an uncomfortable wait for a signing come summer.”
EFL72 says: “Rogers is one of the division’s brightest young talents, and Boro will be reluctant to lose him considering that he has just recently signed a permanent contract with the club. However, as previously stated, this could depend on how much a Premier League team like Villa is willing to spend, and if an appealing bid comes in, the situation could change.”
Maresca addresses the Sensi transfer claim.
Leicester’s pursuit of Inter Milan’s Stefano Sensi has been a big subject in the Championship this month. Reports from Italy suggested a deal had been reached, however Foxes manager Enzo Maresca has now rejected this, noting that the club’s attitude has not changed since the start of the transfer window.
Maresca made it clear that the club cannot make any changes at this time and would need to sell players before exploring new additions. “In this moment, we are not allowed to do anything,” he told reporters on Thursday. “So there’s no agreement with any player.”
EFL72 says: “Sensi’s probable move to the Midlands has been one of the sagas of the window so far, and it appears that it will not be resolved anytime soon. The Foxes are certainly interested in adding the Italian to their squad, but they are currently involved in another issue, so this could come down to the wire.”
Blackburn make a striker enquiry.
Blackburn are allegedly considering a move for Birmingham striker Lukas Jutkiewicz. According to TeamTALK, Rovers are looking for a striker this month, and the 34-year-old is one of the names on their shortlist.
Despite his contract at St Andrews expiring in the summer, no decision has been made to prolong his stay in the Midlands or pursue a transfer this month.
Southampton dismisses Walker-Peters’ links
Southampton manager Russell Martin has denied that full-back Kyle Walker-Peters would leave the club. The 26-year-old had been linked with a move to Chelsea, where he might reunite with former manager Mauricio Pochettino.
However, Martin emphasized the status of Walker-Peters’ present contract until next summer, stating that “it would take a lot of money to prize him away.”
Stockport is close to signing a Manchester United defender. Stockport County’s two leaders are thought to be in advanced talks about signing Manchester United defender Rhys Bennett. According to Football Insider, several EFL clubs are interested in the deal, but the Greater Manchester club is set to secure a loan until the end of the season.
