Callum Hudson-Odoi has already been linked with a move away from Nottingham Forest after only one season.

    HIGHLIGHTS

    • Callum Hudson-Odoi has succeeded at Nottingham Forest, drawing Premier League attention while retaining the club’s status.
    • Clubs, including Tottenham, could offer up to £30 million for him.
    • Nottingham Forest might profit handsomely from a prospective Hudson-Odoi transfer, as Premier League clubs compete for his services.

Callum Hudson-Odoi has flourished at Nottingham Forest this season following his low-cost move from Chelsea last summer, with the winger’s goals playing a significant role in preserving Forest’s Premier League position following their four-point deduction. And his return to the top may entice clubs to move for him in the summer, with Dharmesh Sheth exclusively informing GIVEMESPORT that three Premier League clubs are interested in signing him.

Hudson-Odoi began his Chelsea career as a scorching youngster, making his FA Cup debut against Newcastle United at the age of 17, less than three months after his birthday. From there, he began to play in more games for the Blues, including a career-high 37 appearances in a single season for the West London club in 2020-21 – though injuries impeded his progress. And, after finding a home at Forest, where he scored eight goals in the top tier last season, clubs are once again taking notice of his talent.

    Callum Hudson-Odoi: Transfer News

Hudson-Odoi has come back to life at Forest.

Readers with a keen memory will recall Bayern Munich making a number of approaches for Hudson-Odoi in 2020, one of which featured a loan-to-buy option with a sum that could have reached £70 million if the German club had pursued their bid at the end of his potential stint in Bavaria.

That did not happen, with Hudson-Odoi remaining on the squad’s periphery throughout the 2021-22 season, and an unproductive loan spell at Bayer Leverkusen not helping his chances.

But, having regained his footing in the east Midlands, with Tottenham apparently interested in signing him, the Sun speculated that they might fetch a cost worth 10 times their initial investment, which could exceed £30 million if a club stumps up the cash.

Sheth: Three Premier League Clubs Want Hudson-Odoi.

The Reds will want to cling onto one of their stars.

Speaking exclusively to GIVEMESPORT, Sheth stated that Forest might command a high amount for Hudson-Odoi if the club decides to sell him in the summer, with three Premier League clubs interested in signing him. He said:

“I believe it was an initial £5 million. And if they sell him in the summer, I’m confident they’ll be able to double, treble, or perhaps quadruple that amount, if not more, in the present market, given how well he’s performed.”

Chelsea should have kept hold of Hudson-Odoi.

The Blues have had their own winger issues in recent years.

With Chelsea having spent a lot of money on wingers in recent years with little success, it’s a shame Hudson-Odoi wasn’t given another chance at the club he joined when he was seven.

Mykhailo Mudryk hasn’t lived up to his lofty price tag yet, Raheem Sterling has been inconsistently spectacular, and while Cole Palmer and Noni Madueke have been solid this season, Hudson-Odoi might easily have made the left-flank his own if given the opportunity.
